Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Our most common jobs right now are bathroom remodels; The largest percentage of them is to increasing the size and installing separate showers and tubs. We are also installing a lot of Simonton replacement windows, because of our low price range for a quality window.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like
A. Ask a lot of questions about your particular project, and get at least two or three contractor’s opinions and estimates. Asking questions will help you decide who will service your needs the most and at what cost. A lower cost is not always the best way to go; experience is always a better choice. Calling large companies means more money so try to get references before you hire your contractor. Ask detailed questions about your contractor’s attitude, his workmanship, did he stay with-in his budget and if he showed up when he said he would.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Most home owners do not ask enough questions, and they like to rely on the contractor to know what should or should not be done with certain projects on their home. Just remember that some contractors will cut corners to save money and time for themselves at your expense. If you see something or are not sure it looks right, then you should ask questions, and in some cases get another opinion from another contractor. "Knowledge is power" and it will save you money and headaches in the future.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We are detailed and very particular about the materials we use for your remodeling needs. We give a fair estimate and our goal is to give you quality workmanship. Our customers are mostly repeat customers because of our attention to detail and our reasonable prices.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. What I like most about what I do is that every day is different and the challenges are always new. I enjoy making my customers happy with the projects they want done. We strive to make their dream a reality.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. The most common question is; do you have any references? The answer is; Yes. We always ask our customers to evaluate us so that we can make adjustments to our future customer’s needs. We are home owners as well and we agree that investing in your home always should be just that an investment. Paying for a service means that you want what you pay for. Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I learned a lot from my father who spent all of his adult life in the industry. I started at the age of 14 working with wood and making furniture, helping my dad on the weekends and taking on side jobs, like sheds decks, etc. As I got older and got into the trade I grew in many ways. I asked questions and learned from people who worked in construction for many years. I enjoy making and creating structures, I don’t think I would enjoy any other type of work.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. Our most recent project was a master bath remodel. We removed an older water jet type tub and built a new deck and installed a modern soaker tub. The tub and tile look awesome and most of all, our customer loves it.
